Overwatch 2’s eighth season kicks off next week and we’ve learned another key piece of the puzzle. Blizzard announced that Orisa will be the recipient of the Season 8 Mythic skin and Team 4 has already revealed what it looks like:
I dig the skin quite a bit. It certainly seems there are more customization options than Hanzo got for his Season 7 skin. The different effect for Terra Surge looks cool, and I do enjoy when the sound design team gets to have fun with ability sounds for Mythic skins.
It looks like this Mythic skin won’t unlock in stages. According to that short clip, Mythic Grand Beast Orisa will unlock at level 80 of the Premium Battle Pass.
We also found out the title of Season 8. It’s called Overwatch 2: Call of the Hunt. Based on a teaser image, it looks like Junker Queen is getting a new skin too.
Overwatch 2: Call of the Hunt starts on December 5. We also know that the season will introduce a new tank hero, Mauga. You can find out all about him and his abilities here:
