Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III launches a week from today, bringing all 16 of the maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2 along with new modes, Operators, seasonal Battle Pass and much more.
But while the official release date is November 10th (or the 9th depending on your timezone) you can hop into the game a week early. To do that, you simply have to pre-order the game on Steam, Battle.net, Xbox or PlayStation.
Note: This early access period is for the single-player campaign only. You’ll still have to wait until next week to hop into multiplayer or the new open-world Zombies mode.
If you pre-order the game access becomes available at 10am PT today, November 2nd.
Playing the campaign comes with a bunch of multiplayer rewards as well, including Operator unlocks, a Weapon Blueprint and various other cosmetics.
Almost all of the game’s 15 missions reward players with a new unlock. These are:
- “Breather” Calling Card
- 30 mins Double Player XP Token & 30 mins Double Weapon XP Token
- “Corso” Operator
- “Ghillie Guy” Calling Card
- 30 mins XP Token and 30m Weapon XP Token
- “Pathfinder” Operator
- “Toxic Drip” Calling Card
- 1 hour Double Player XP Token and 1 hour Double Weapon XP Token
- “Doc” Operator
- “Skull Rhapsody” Calling Card
- 1 hour Double Player XP Token and 1 hour Double Weapon XP Token
- “Jabber” Operator
- Campaign Completion Emblem
- Campaign Completion Weapon Blueprint
I know a lot of players don’t bother with the campaign but I always do, and I love having a week of early access solely to focus on the campaign, though Call Of Duty games are generally pretty short. Still, it’s nice to not be distracted by multiplayer for a short time and still get to take the new game out for a spin.
After Modern Warfare III launches next week, the game enters a pre-season period before Season 1 launches alongside the new Warzone map, Urzikstan.
Will you be playing the campaign today? Let me know on Twitter or Facebook.
