LEGO Fortnite launched today, and it’s taking the survival-crafting world by storm. The game is free-to-play from within Fortnite and is a new permanent game mode completely separate from Battle Royale. In many ways, it’s the original vision of Fortnite—which began with the survival game Save The World—but even better thanks to the partnership with LEGO.
This is also the first major competitor to Minecraft, promising many of the same exciting features like building and fighting the undead when they come out at night, but with shiny new Unreal Engine 5 graphics and, well, LEGO figures!
Speaking of LEGO figures, many of your existing Fortnite skins have their very own LEGO version—over 1,200 skins in the game are already LEGOs in this mode—but you can also get two new LEGO skins for free by following a couple pretty easy steps.
How To Unlock The Explorer Emilie Outfit
This one is super easy. Simply connect your LEGO and Fortnite/Epic accounts and you’ll earn the Explorer Emilie Outfit for free. Epic has detailed instructions on how to link these accounts right here.
How To Unlock The Trailblazer Tai Outfit
For a limited time, you can head to the Fortnite Item Shop and grab the True Explorers Quest Pack (during the “launch window” for LEGO Fortnite). There are a series of quests to complete which unlock a handful of items and the Trailblazer Tai Outfit, which you can see has both a LEGO and Battle Royale variant.
Remember, to access LEGO Fortnite simply open Fortnite and head to the Discover tiles and scroll to the By Epic row. Then simply click on the LEGO Fortnite tile and off you go! From here you can select either Survivor or Sandbox mode. Have fun out there, young padawans!
