‘Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc’ English Release Date Confirmed By Crunchyroll

News RoomNews RoomApril 9, 2024No Comments3 Mins Read

While many were assuming this was probably going to be the case, as of Monday, Crunchyroll has confirmed that the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc English release date (along with many others) will match the previously announced Japanese premiere date.

That date is May 12, 2024, and includes the following territories: North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, India and Southeast Asia. This is just the subtitled version, with dubs coming down the line, as per usual. Episodes will premiere weekly after the May 12 debut.

There’s also the synopsis for the new season which you can read below:

“The members of the Demon Slayer Corps and their highest-ranking swordsmen, the Hashira.

In preparation for the forthcoming final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji, the Hashira Training commences. While each carry faith and determination within their hearts, Tanjiro and the Hashira enter a new story.”

Demon Slayer continues its run as one of the most popular anime series in the world at the moment, if not the most popular. Its Mugen Train box office run famously netted $453 million worldwide, more than some recent Marvel movies, and the show has been immensely popular around the world since its inception. Reportedly, the Swordsmith Village arc, the previous season, hit 22.9 million viewers at its peak, with an average of 15.4 million viewers for the whole arc. In 2023, Demon Slayer had reportedly three times the amount of viewership as the next closest anime, Sazae-san. That includes Demon Slayer being in both first and second place with the Red Light District Arc getting 10.3 million viewers. That’s 25.7 million in total for last year. Huge numbers for an anime.

Demon Slayer is heading toward the end of the source material, but it will likely be a few more years until it reaches its conclusion. Though no telling if they’ll pull a Attack on Titan: Season 4: Part 1: The Final Chapters type thing. I sort of doubt it.

So, we only have about a month until Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc arrives, and it’s nice we don’t have to wait longer than Japan’s Crunchyroll date. I will see you then, and will probably be covering the series weekly.
