‘Cinematrix’ Hints, Clues And Answers For March 16th

News RoomNews RoomMarch 16, 2024No Comments2 Mins Read

Cinematrix is a new movie-based puzzle game that’s recently launched over at Vulture. In fact, today’s puzzle is just the 15th so far. For movie and puzzle buffs, it’s a great new puzzler to test your movie and actor trivia, and in a fun, daily format similar to popular games like Wordle.

How To Play Cinematrix

Each weekday morning a new puzzle lands on Vulture’s website. It’s a 3 by 3 grid of boxes. The left row is comprised of people—typically actors, but also famous directors and so forth. The top row is comprised of clues, which range from other celebrities to box office numbers or genres, like so:

You have 9 guesses to get all 9 boxes filled correctly. It’s not easy! Some are obviously harder than others. This guide will provide extra clues and the answers for the puzzle, though obviously there will be multiple answers for many of these since, for example, it’s entirely possible for an actor like Dave Bautista to show up in more than one horror film.

Today’s Clues

Cinematrix #15 looks like this:

Here are my extra clues:

Kristen Stewart

  • Vampires
  • Starts with “Love”
  • Submerged

Hugh Grant

  • Jane Austen
  • Bears
  • Not about a man

Angela Bassett

  • Groovy
  • MCU
  • Does not rhyme with ‘fatherhood’

Alright, the answers to today’s Cinematrix are below so spoiler warning if you don’t want to see what the answers are. Once again, you may come up with different answers to the ones I came up with simply because there are so many potential different answers given the sheer number of actors, movies and so forth. You’ll see what percentage of people guessed the correct answer for each box after you’re done guessing.

Reminder, spoilers ahead! Turn back now if you don’t want today’s answers yet!

Today’s Cinematrix Answers

I’m going to pick my favorite from each day’s Cinematrix to recommend to readers. Today, it’s Paddington 2 which is one of the most charming films ever made and one of those rarest of sequels that’s actually far superior to the original. Here’s the trailer:

How did you do on today’s game? I admit, I have a bit of an advantage since I cover movies and am constantly researching them, but this one did test me, especially the ones starting with a vowel. If you’re not playing Cinematrix yet, check it out right here.
