The Edge of Darkness edition of Escape From Tarkov, which includes access to the new Arena game as well as other perks, will be removed from sale in just over 13 days time, and it will not return after that. However, all versions of Tarkov, including Edge of Darkness, are now on sale, making it a little cheaper to pick it up before it is removed.
The Edge of Darkness edition of Escape From Tarkov includes free access to Escape From Tarkov Arena, although when you get into the beta is not confirmed as many are still waiting, as well as a number of perks in the normal Tarkov game. You get the very handy 3×3 Gamma secure container to allow you to bring more stuff out of raids, and a much larger stash. If you are a regular Tarkov player is it very much a worthwhile purchase.
But if you do want to pick it up you only have 13 days left to do so, as the Edge of Darkness edition will be removed from sale on January 7, 2024, at 8:59 PM GMT / 3:59 PM EST.
Fortunately, if you are in the mood to pick it up the EOD edition, as well as all other versions of the game are currently on sale for the holiday period. All versions have 25% off the regular price, with the base game costing $37.50 and the Edge of Darkness edition now costing $112.50. The sale also lasts until the same time on January 7.
This is a great time to pick up Tarkov if you haven’t yet. The game is expected to wipe in the next day or two, which means everyone will be reset to nothing and it will be as close to an even playing field as you can get. The beta for Escape From Tarkov Arena has also kicked off this past week, and while it has some major issues, it is a fun game that is worth trying out.
The new wipe will also bring a new map, Ground Zero, that is expected to be restricted to lower-level players only. This should make it much easier to get started in the world of Tarkov, and help you out on your journey if you choose to start it now. We don’t know for sure when the new map will launch, but the wipe is expected this week, with some fans even thinking tomorrow, December 26, is the most likely date.
