With the release of Homeworld 3 nearly upon us, we’ve received a new mini-documentary covering what the game has to offer.
The documentary (show below) isn’t that long, but it does cover a lot of topics. From new gameplay to the audio and how the game utilises Unreal Engine.
As someone that has been playing these games since their inception, I really cannot wait to get my hands on Homeworld 3.
When it comes to PC games, the Homeworld series is definitely one of my favorites. Especially as I have apparently played more than 310 hours on the Homeworld Remastered Collection.
Homeworld was also hugely influential on some of the games I have worked on and designed. After all, I hired Paul Ruskay to do the music for Strike Suit Zero, and we also used the same setup for the cutscenes on that game.
If you are at all interested in Ruskay’s musical work, I also did a nice interview with him last year.
As for Homeworld 3’s specs, it’s clear that Blackbird Interactive have gone to great lengths to make the game compatible with as many hardware setups as possible (see above).
Released in March next year, Homeworld 3 is shaping up to be hopefully something rather special, and is available for pre-order on Steam.
