For users of iPhones, there is also support for the AAC specification used by Apple, while SBC support mops up anything else. The headphones also support Qualcomm aptX Low Latency codec, meaning gamers and movie watchers needn’t worry about losing sync between sound and vision.
A full charge of the P60BT’s battery can deliver up to 50 hours of continuous playback. However, with the ANC function turned on, that figure dips to 45 hours, still impressive and more than enough for the longest of long-haul flights. If the headphones don’t have any charge onboard, they can be given a quick burst of 10 minutes, which provides up to 5 hours of playtime. A USB-C cable is supplied in the box for charging the headphones.
To control the music, the P60BT have touch controls that can be used to play and pause tracks, answer phone calls, repeat and skip audio tracks, and adjust volume levels. Users can also use a voice assistant by tapping the touch control three times. To ensure the touch controls aren’t accidentally triggered, SoundMAGIC has turned off single-touch controls.
As well as the wireless function, the P60BT ANC can work in wired mode. A 3.5mm audio cable is provided for plugging into a regular headphone jack. The headphones will work with a wired connection even when there’s no charge in the battery. Finally, SoundMAGIC has also provided a boom microphone with the P60BT, making the headphones ideal for gaming or conference calls. A carry case is provided and the P60BT can fold up to take up less space in your bag or suitcase.
Verdict: SoundMAGIC has an excellent reputation for offering value for money. The P60BT wireless ANC headphones are no exception. The sound quality is punchy and dynamic, making most genres of music fun to listen to. Adding a boom microphone is a nice touch and makes the P60BT ideal for gaming or phone calls. The ANC function is efficient and the battery life is superb. There is nothing to complain about with these headphones.
