Bethesda continues its last-minute marketing push for Starfield, just days before its Early Access launch on August 31/September 1. What they’ve been doing lately is shining a spotlight on members of constellation and your future, potential companions.
Bethesda has previously said that they are leaning much harder into the companion idea this time around, because they saw how much people have liked them in past games. They’ve also previously said that not just friendship, but romance is on the table.
There are four members of Constellation, the space-exploring band of adventurers, that have been put on display by Bethesda here. These Constellation crew members, Bethesda has said, will have more involved stories than other companions, though they’ve said you can recruit 20+ or more different crew members or traveling companions from various places in the game.
So, here’s the list, along with who is playing them:
“Introducing Sarah Morgan, the fierce leader of Constellation. Passionate about Constellation’s mission, leading through action, and earning the trust and respect of her peers.”
Morgan is voiced by Emily O’Brien. She’s a long term daytime actress on Days of Our Lives, and has done voicework in everything from Gotham Knights (Talia al Ghul) to Love Death and Robots.
“Meet Barrett, one of the first members of Constellation you’ll encounter on your adventures. His deep fascination with the universe has fueled his travels all over the galaxy and in pursuit of knowledge and new experiences.”
Barret is voiced by Barry Wiggins, a mainly TV actor where this is one of his only big voicework roles to date.
“Meet Sam Coe, an excellent pilot and even better dad! Having a strong sense of frontier justice, Sam believes that if helping someone means breaking the rules, so be it.”
If you recognize any voice in the game, it will probably be this one, as Sam Coe is played by Elias Toufexis of Adam Jensen/Deus Ex fame, in addition to his roles on The Expanse and Blood of Zeus.
“Introducing Andreja, Constellation’s newest recruit, hailing from the farthest reaches of the Settled Systems. Andreja is a bit of a mystery to everyone. Nobody knows where she’s coming from, and where she’s going.”
Andreja is voiced by Cissy Jones, a prolific voice actor who I know best as the voice of Sloane from Destiny 2. She’s also The Absolute in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Dran in Remnant 2.
So, any of these stand out to you from their look and brief descriptions? You’ll learn more about them soon enough, and we’ll see if Bethesda does any more character previews in the next day or two.
